A little bit about me…
My name is Antonietta Espinoza
At 34 years old, I feel deeply happy with my existence, with my experiences, with who I am and what I have. If I had to define myself in one word, it would be "Serena" . I enjoy the little things in life: laughing, breathing, eating, playing, traveling, resting, talking, calling, sweating, running and, of course, training. I like to live fully.
I remember a phrase that changed my perspective: "Happiness begins with the body." I found it in a book on Buddhism, where it emphasizes living in the "Here and Now", in the present moment. This, for Buddhists, is achieved through the body, breathing, skin, feeling... through movement.
This idea resonated strongly with me, because I have been moving my body for more than 12 years, without realizing that I found the happiness I was looking for so much in that same process. My fitness journey started with swimming, then the gym, and finally I discovered my passion for CrossFit at age 21. I fell in love with how my body was capable of surpassing limits that I never imagined.
I have competed in different categories, I was certified as a Coach, I taught people of all ages and levels, even during my pregnancy and after giving birth. However, there came a moment of personal transformation, where I realized that I had been training my body without really connecting with my inner being.
After a pause motivated by demotivation, I resumed my training with a new purpose and a different perspective. I discovered true happiness and the healing potential of movement. Now, I want to share my experience and knowledge from a perspective focused on functional, natural and safe movements, which are part of everyone's daily life, such as lifting objects, carrying a baby, running, walking, cleaning, etc.
I invite you to explore this elemental and basic world of functional movements, as well as other forms of movement that call to you, such as dance, yoga, athletics or skating. The important thing is to find what resonates with you and makes you feel alive.
